On Our Street

As a friendship strikes up between Christian teenager Hayley and her new Jewish neighbor Jared, their mothers have different ideas regarding how appropriate that friendship is. When anti-semitic hate crimes are committed in their neighborhood, though, perhaps Hayley can forge her own path outside of her mother's bigotry.

Though written and rehearsed between April and October, our first performance was weeks after the shooting at Tree of Life Synagogue, bringing urgency to the message of the piece.
